TUTIMAYU PROGRAM This is the first village that we starting working with 2 years ago, after finding a very organized, hard working community with good leadership. READ MORE
DENTAL PROGRAM Tutimayu does have a functioning medical post with a full time doctor and a dental chair and some supplies. Through another non-profit organization, a dentist was hired and she sees several students daily for routine dental care, instruction and check ups. Her goal is to reach all the children in that village. READ MORE
BREAKFAST PROGRAM The report this year continued to be very encouraging. The government stepped up to the plate and gave the village the money for the breakfast program, so they were able to buy a big oven for baking bread with the money that we had contributed to the breakfast program. The vitamin program continues and is being monitored. READ MORE

BUENA VISTA PROGRAM Another new program for MIMA started this summer in Buena Vista, which is another community that is building from within to help the future generations. With the help of a dear friend, Anna Haarman, who is a volunteer from Holland, a school has been built and a medical post is under construction. They also have a meal program for the school-age children, and even offer it on Saturdays for the most needy. READ MORE
GUATEMALA PROGRAM As many of you know, I was interested in expanding our program since we have so many volunteers and many wanted to travel to places other than Bolivia. Guatemala seemed to be a logical choice, since it is closer, and also, we have so many Guatemalans living right here in our communities that have families that remain there. READ MORE
Posota, Bolivia High in the Andes Mountains, at a bit less than 15,000 feet, there is a very remote village named Posota. Actually, it is not as remote as Challa, which is the village where Bau and Cresy Cruz come from. Both adopted by Mary Kay, one of the founders of the MIMA Foundation, travel to Bolivia each year to visit their family and friends. READ MORE
